Heavy rain and dangerously poor visibility prevented any competitive racing at Spa-Francorchamps. After hours of delays, the field completed just three laps, all behind the Safety Car, before the race was stopped.
The final classification was effectively determined by qualifying:
🇦🇹 Max Verstappen
🇺🇸 George Russell
🇩🇪 Lewis Hamilton
Verstappen was declared the winner from pole position, while Russell claimed his first Formula 1 podium and delivered Williams its first podium finish since 2017. Hamilton completed the top three. Half points were awarded under the regulations in force at the time. Officially, it became the shortest race in Formula 1 history.
