🏎 The FIA has opened safety talks with Red Bull and Ferrari over the so-called “Macarena” rear wings after two incidents involving Max Verstappen.

In Austria, a wing issue sent him into the wall in qualifying; at Silverstone, another failure dropped him into the gravel. Verstappen called it “super dangerous,” saying he was “lucky” in both cases.

Red Bull says the failures were different, but Laurent Mekies has promised to “leave no stone unturned” in the investigation and said “all options” remain open.

Ferrari has not reported problems with its version, but if the FIA sees the concept as too risky, it could demand extra safeguards or restrict it altogether.
