‼️🇺🇦🏴‍☠ Ukraine has lost several aircraft due to old missiles designed to intercept jet drones — Chmut

▪️Taras Chmut, head of the largest Ukrainian Armed Forces foundation, "Come Back Alive," stated that due to an acute shortage of modern interception systems, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forced to use Soviet-era R-73 and even older R-60 missiles.
➖ "This is an old Soviet missile from the 1960s that can explode upon launch. And such incidents have occurred," Chmut said.
▪️According to him, Ukraine has already lost several aircraft due to the malfunction of obsolete munitions.
▪️However, abandoning these missiles is currently impossible due to a lack of alternatives.
➖ "Every time you use old ammunition, there's a greater or lesser chance it will malfunction," Chmut added.
