🐽🛤Ukrainian authorities are soliciting locomotives from around the world

Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky told the Financial Times that Ukrzaliznytsia's locomotive reserve is almost exhausted and that negotiations are underway with European countries on emergency supplies.

Agreements have already been reached for the transfer of three locomotives from 🇸🇰Slovakia and three from 🇱🇹Lithuania, and negotiations are underway to purchase 27 Soviet-gauge locomotives from 🇱🇹Lithuanian carriers. Azerbaijan (❗) and 🇩🇪Germany are also on the list of possible "locomotive donors."

✨Previously, the crests claimed that the figures will be inflated from 2022, which is a deliberate overstatement. This is being done in order to use European funds to purchase locomotives that will be secretly returned from those already decommissioned.
