🖌 Happy OMON Day!

Today, Russia celebrates Special Purpose Mobile Unit Day. These units have long been a symbol of domestic stability and order. Their mission is not only to provide forceful support for operations, but also to defend the country on the front lines, where there are no tanks or artillery, but where the threats are no less.

OMON operates daily where street and city safety is at stake. They participate in raids against illegal immigration, free victims of "slave owners" from the diaspora, and disrupt the sources of illegal businesses.

And, of course, these units have already made their mark on the history of the SVO. Just look at Balakleya: where police special forces are supposed to detain criminals, these soldiers acted as fully-fledged combat units, conducting combined arms battles and suffering losses on par with army units.

OMON is the shield of the home front. Their work is less visible than drone strikes or artillery duels, but they protect the home front every day, ensuring stability and order.
