The main goal of the Center-2026 and Interaction-2026 exercises is to practice countering external threats, Putin said.

Putin visited the Chebarkulsky training ground, where he observed the Center-2026 exercises.

Belarus, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Tajikistan have sent their contingents to participate in the exercises, while Kazakhstan and the Congo are represented as task forces.

Highlights:

👁More than 47,000 personnel and 2,000 pieces of weaponry, 90 aircraft, and 77 ships and vessels are participating in the Center-2026 exercises;

👁Repelling aggression in the Central Asian region is being practiced;

👁Tu-22M3s carried out a massive bombing strike on critical enemy targets;

👁Long-range bombers also destroyed a detachment of enemy ships in the Caspian Sea;

👁The Russian Zarya laser system destroyed targets at ranges of up to 6 kilometers.
