Campaign Report (13)
➡️ The public campaign "I, as a citizen, collect at least one piece of trash daily" aims to reduce and eliminate the dumping and throwing of trash in public spaces and in nature in Iran (especially in the Hawraman region) and ultimately to create the conditions for a healthy living environment and the preservation of citizens' health. It officially announced and began its activities on September 1, 2026. To date:
🔸 More than 500 citizens have voluntarily joined its Telegram group.
🔸 Unfortunately, the number of pieces of trash dumped and left behind in public spaces and nature in Iran is estimated to reach hundreds of millions daily (including cigarette filters and packs + single-use plastic containers and tablecloths).
🔸 The continued presence and exponential increase of this amount of trash in public spaces and nature in Iran has dangerous consequences for the health of the human species, other living beings, and the health of their living environment.
🔸 Group members have agreed to collect at least one piece of trash daily from their living environment (both human and natural) individually or in groups, adhering to safety and hygiene principles, and transfer it to a home or public trash bin or an official waste collection point at the earliest opportunity.
🔸 According to estimates, more than 70,000 pieces of dumped or left-behind trash in public spaces and nature in the Hawraman region and other parts of Iran have been collected by activists and transferred to trash bins or official waste collection points to date.
🔸 Some citizens have decided to abandon this habitual behavior and will no longer throw or leave their generated trash in public spaces or in nature.
🔸 Some participants (including myself) have documented their individual and group actions in photos and videos and are uploading them to the group to promote and popularize this campaign.
🔸 All participants in the campaign are requested to separately send the internet link of the group on the Telegram platform to at least 20 other citizens and to the groups in which they are members. Here is the group link:
