The vision for TON community is to reach 500 million users within 5 years.
During one of the sessions at the Gateway conference held on 10 November, Alexander Plotvinov (CEO of Open Builders), suggested to the panelists that in order to reach the goal faster, TON Foundation could give away 1 TON each to 500 million users.
To which Steve Yun boldly replied:
"We can hold a public vote and let the community decide."
