Unknown actors placed malicious ads in Google search results mimicking the Uniswap interface. Analysts say attackers stole at least $400,000 in crypto.
The fake site redirected users to a clone platform that drained wallets on connection. At reporting, 146 ETH (about $306,000) remained in two linked addresses.

A mysterious wallet owner sent 107 BTC worth around $8.2 million to a known Bitcoin burn address, permanently removing the coins from circulation.
The transactions happened within 2 minutes across 5 old wallets that all appear to belong to the same person.
β‘οΈ The coins were originally received back in 2014
β‘οΈ Bitcoin was around $442 at the time
β‘οΈ The wallets had been mostly untouched for more than a decade
β‘οΈ All wallets were fully emptied
No one knows whether this was intentional, accidental, or some kind of statement.

This is enabled by MoonPay launching its own app in the ChatGPT Apps catalog. Users specify the asset and amount, and the bot generates a payment link. However, completing purchases still requires passing KYC and connecting a wallet.
