💵 Dunkrad Proposes $1B Fund to Rescue Ethereum

Dunkrad Feist, former Ethereum Foundation researcher, said the Ethereum ecosystem needs a new organization with its own funding and influence over development. The Foundation controls less than 0.1% ETH and earns no staking or fee revenue, limiting growth.

Feist proposed a structure with at least $1 billion in capital, partly from staking income. The idea sparked debate, with some fearing Ethereum could become a "corporate blockchain."

💰 US Proposes Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Bill

The US Congress introduced a new bill to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve, aiming to accumulate 1 million BTC, about 5% of the total Bitcoin supply. The proposal has bipartisan support and over 10 co-sponsors.

The reserve would partly be formed from already confiscated digital assets. Meanwhile, US authorities reported seizing nearly $500 million in cryptocurrencies linked to Iran.

The bill’s authors explicitly compare Bitcoin to gold, calling it the main store of value within the crypto market.
