Mastercard has launched the Global Money Platform with BVNK, combining fiat and stablecoin balances in a single API.

This allows banks, fintechs, and enterprises to issue branded cards and accounts across 130+ countries, with stablecoin balances spendable at hundreds of millions of merchant locations worldwide.

Nuvei and Marqeta are among the first adopters, and the October 15 launch marks Mastercard's first major integration with BVNK since its August acquisition of the stablecoin payments firm.
