🏦 BITCOIN ETFs LOSE $723.5M IN TWO TRADING SESSIONS
Institutional Bitcoin flows have reversed sharply.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately:
-$484.9 MILLION
in net outflows on October 7.
Then another:
-$238.6 MILLION
left the funds on October 8.
Two-day total:
-$723.5 MILLION
The October 7 session was particularly broad.
Major withdrawals included:
• BlackRock IBIT: -$207.7M
• Fidelity FBTC: -$105.1M
• ARK 21Shares: -$101.7M
Important:
Large ETF outflows do NOT automatically mean institutions have abandoned Bitcoin.
The funds have experienced substantial redemptions before and later returned to positive flows.
But the timing matters.
The withdrawals arrived while BTC was already under pressure from:
• Rising oil
• High Treasury yields
• A stronger dollar
• Weak risk appetite
ETF buying helped support Bitcoin's September recovery.
Now those same flows have become a source of pressure.
The next few sessions will show whether this is temporary profit-taking —
or the beginning of a more sustained institutional pullback.
