Marco Rubio is delivering the greatest defense of Western Civilization I have ever heard in Athens

“The history of America… is covered with the fingerprints of antiquity.”

Rubio pointed to the unmistakable Greek influence on the United States:

-Greek architecture is carved into Washington, D.C.’s columns, domes and monuments
-America’s founders drew inspiration from the civilizations of antiquity
-Even Philadelphia, the birthplace of the Constitution, bears a Greek name

America didn’t emerge in a vacuum. Its institutions, architecture and founding principles carry the legacy of Western civilization.
