I asked Mark Halperin what Republicans have to look forward to in the midterms. Will there be a surprise?

His answer shocked me...

Halperin laid out four areas where the GOP is dominating:

-Money: Republicans still have the financial advantage and are outspending Democrats big. That matters.

-Accomplishments: No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. No tax on Social Security. Trump accounts for kids. Border. Crime. We have real wins to brag about.

-The Democratic brand is horrible: They’re not winning races. They’re just benefiting from economic frustration.

-Candidate quality: In the races that actually matter, Republicans have the superior political athlete.
