💥 During his working visit to the Verkhnedvinsk District, Aleksandr Lukashenko gave instructions to define a clear development strategy for the northern part of the Vitebsk Oblast. The northernmost point of Belarus has its own specific agricultural challenges; this zone of "critical farming" poses risks to achieving high yields and demands greater effort from local agricultural workers. The Head of State assessed the general condition of the farmland, noting several issues: a lack of discipline and accountability for overall results, as well as the absence of a clear strategy for regional development. In the north of the Vitebsk Oblast, emphasis should also be placed on the development of forestry; the region’s potential offers significant opportunities for the timber processing sector. The President expects a future-oriented strategy for the region that includes this sector as well.
