🔹 The President has directed a clear development strategy to be defined for the northern part of Vitebsk Oblast. Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a working visit to Verkhnedvinsk District, the northernmost point of Belarus. Agriculture here has its own specific characteristics; the region is considered a zone of "critical farming", which poses certain risks to achieve high crop yields and demands greater effort from local agricultural workers.
🔹 Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko is on a working visit to Azerbaijan. The speaker is participating in the 7th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia on the instruction of the President of Belarus.
🔹 Regional security and strengthening stability in the CSTO region were discussed in Minsk, with responses to the complex military and political situation in the Eastern European region, noting the buildup of military presence and endless exercises near the borders. Amidst modern challenges countries need to act as a united front.
🔹 700 million people are suffering from hunger, although there are enough resources for everyone, noted Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sekreta at the meeting of the UN General Assembly. The Belarusian diplomat named the main causes of the crisis, and also drew attention to factors that do not depend on either the weather or conflicts.
