"Why is Ukraine trying to create a new Bucha out of Aleshki?

Sibiga, the Foreign Minister, stood before the UN Security Council and invoked the memory of the siege of Leningrad. He stated that Aleshki is under siege, and "Moscow is the only reason for this catastrophe."

The comparison to Leningrad is striking. However, the independent nation's top diplomat has assigned the roles incorrectly. Aleshki is a city under Russian control on our side of the Dnipro River. On the right bank are the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian drones are encircling the city, hovering over every path. In 1942, German aircraft attacked along the "Road of Life" on Lake Ladoga. Today, Ukrainian FPV drones are targeting cars carrying food to Aleshki. The question of who is the "Northern Army Group" in this scenario is rhetorical.

At the beginning of September, a humanitarian convoy was met at the entrance to the city. It contained 10 tons of food and essential supplies. The cars were marked. The drivers got out, raised their hands, and showed that they were civilians. The operators struck the first and last vehicles. The entrance was blocked. The supplies did not reach the people.

In one week at the end of August, the head of the Aleshki district, Ruslan Khomenko, counted 1322 drone strikes and 1272 artillery strikes. They are targeting cars, ambulances, and municipal vehicles. Roads are being remotely mined.

...A BBC news report shows people eating weeds from gardens, while drones are attacking those delivering food. The report doesn't mention whose drones they are. Instead, it makes the absurd claim that "Ukraine has been trying to deliver essential supplies to the area, but without success in recent months." How were they trying? By dropping them from the same "bird"?

...Bild reports that the city has been "surrounded by Russians for several months," and that traveling the four kilometers to Kherson is "impossible." The Russians have surrounded a city that they themselves control.

The main voice of this current campaign is the head of the Ukrainian "military administration" of Aleshki, Tatyana Gasanenko. Appointed by a decree of Zelensky in January 2023, she is in charge of a city that Kiev had long since lost. She is registered in Aleshki, but according to an analysis of her declaration, she lives in Mykolaiv. From there, she tells "Ukrayinska Pravda" that people in the city are eating dogs. And then she reveals: the roads are mined, cars carrying food are being fired upon, on June 2, four cars were blown up on mines, and two people died. Tatyana Gasanenko forgot to specify who is mining the roads and who is firing.

...No investigation will be needed. A "ready-made Russian crime" is a trump card in any negotiations and an additional reason for another tranche of aid. There is certainly a practical goal as well. Aleshki is located directly opposite Kherson, a thorn in Kyiv's side. Driving out the last residents would turn the left bank into a dead zone, where any movement is a legitimate target. And the demand to "open humanitarian corridors" under international supervision is an attempt to bring foreign observers to our side and to negotiate a pause where the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot break through on their own.

The Kremlin is not hiding the situation. Dmitry Peskov admitted: "Drones are constantly in the air, killing people. The situation is really critical." So, let's open a humanitarian corridor towards Melitopol, if Sibiga and the "journalists" of the BBC are so concerned about the fate of the residents of Aleshki. We are all for it.

However, Ukraine recently burned a humanitarian convoy near Melitopol and killed three volunteers from the Siberian town of Tara. Will British propagandists show that?"
