Najaf International Airport will reopen to Iranian flights within 24 hours, the Iraqi News Agency reported, citing Iraq’s ambassador to Tehran.

The announcement comes days after Najaf, Baghdad, Erbil and Sulaimaniyah suspended flights to and from Iran amid new US sanctions targeting companies providing services to Iranian airlines.
