In 1944, Prizren was the Turkish Kandahar of Europe
The population spoke, wrote & read Ottoman. Their law was the Sharia. Women wore the ferece, while men wore fezzes and turbans like Prophet Muhammad & shalvars of Mahmud II.
In bazars men would carry the Turkish allti or kobure.
