🚨 UPDATE: HORRIFIC NEW DETAILS EMERGE IN BRISBANE TEEN MURDER CASE

New court details allege Oliver Conroy, 27, was lured to Kelvin Grove by two teenage girls who told him they were 18, as part of an alleged plan by a group of teens to rob him.

Police allege Conroy was then ambushed and severely beaten, with the group repeatedly punching, kicking and striking him while one of the accused filmed the attack on a phone.

The teens allegedly stole his BYD and drove off as Conroy desperately clung to the vehicle trying to stop them. Police say the driver repeatedly accelerated and braked, dragging him for almost a kilometre before he fell onto the road and was run over.

Conroy was taken to hospital with critical injuries, where he remained for 13 days before dying on August 6. Seven teenagers aged 14 to 17, reported to be from African migrant backgrounds, remain in custody charged with murder.

🚨 MAN FACING CHILD-RELATED CHARGES ARRESTED AGAIN HOURS AFTER RELEASE

Gold Coast man Alex Peter Anderson, 23, has been on bail since November 2024 while facing serious charges involving a child under 12. His bail conditions have included staying at least 10 metres away from children.

Nov 2024: First charged over alleged offences involving a child under 12 → granted bail

Oct 2025: Pleads guilty to six breaches, including attending Dreamworld, Sea World, the Gold Coast Show and a BMX club → $600 fine, remains on bail

Feb 2026: Charged with five more alleged breaches → released again
April: Another five alleged breaches → released again with tougher conditions

July: Another three alleged breaches involving prohibited phone and internet use → released again

Aug 5: Breaches conditions at a go-kart venue and breaks curfew → $600 fine and released

Aug 9: Attends the Ekka despite restrictions around children → arrested, fined $300 and released

Hours later: Allegedly attends the family-packed Pacific Airshow → arrested again

Anderson is currently awaiting trial on three counts of indecent dealing and one grooming charge involving a child under 12. The Queensland Police Union has called the situation “beyond a joke.”

🚨 HANSON CALLS TO HALT MIGRATION FROM ‘DO NOT TRAVEL’ COUNTRIES

Pauline Hanson is calling for an immediate stop to new migration from countries the Australian Government itself warns citizens not to visit due to threats including terrorism, kidnapping, armed conflict and violent crime.

The proposal would target countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, and would apply to new offshore visas including refugee and humanitarian arrivals. Hanson says if a country is considered too dangerous for Australians to enter, migration from it should not continue “business-as-usual”.

🚨 GIRLS AS YOUNG AS 12 ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED KNIFE-POINT CARJACKING

Three girls aged just 12, 13 and 15 have been arrested after a 61-year-old woman was allegedly confronted by a group at an Ingle Farm shopping centre in Adelaide. Police say one suspect produced a knife before the woman’s handbag and car keys were stolen and her Nissan driven away.

The stolen car was later abandoned with four occupants allegedly fleeing on foot. The 12- and 15-year-old girls were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and granted bail, while the 13-year-old was charged with assault, theft using force, illegal use and unlicensed driving and was refused bail.

⚠️ MACHETE CARJACKING ENDS IN WRONG-WAY FREEWAY CRASH

A group of males allegedly threatened a Porsche owner with a machete as he returned to his Bentleigh home, stealing the car before it was later spotted speeding across Melbourne with its headlights off.

Police say the Porsche later U-turned near roadworks and drove against oncoming traffic on Eastlink before crashing into a van. The alleged driver suffered serious injuries and remains under police guard, while the van driver and two Porsche passengers were also hospitalised.

👀 ALBANESE ASKS TRUMP TO SCRAP 12.5% TARIFF ON AUSTRALIA

Anthony Albanese and Donald Trump spoke for around 40 minutes overnight, with the Prime Minister using the call to push for Australia to be exempted from the 12.5% US tariff.

Albanese raised Australia’s free-trade agreement and the hundreds of billions of dollars in trade surplus the US has recorded with Australia. Trump agreed to “give consideration” to the request but made no commitment.

The pair also discussed AUKUS, Iran, AI and critical minerals.

🚨 16-YEAR-OLD CHARGED OVER $2M MELBOURNE RAM-RAID FIRE

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after an allegedly stolen car was rammed into a convenience store on Victoria Street in Melbourne before being set alight, with the blaze spreading through surrounding businesses.

Police say up to 10 businesses were damaged or destroyed, causing around $2 million in damage, while two women were forced to flee. The teen has been charged with arson, reckless conduct endangering life and car theft, and remains in custody.

🚨 SEVEN CHARGED OVER $80M ILLICIT TOBACCO AND VAPE NETWORK

Seven people have been charged after police allegedly uncovered criminal networks using “trusted insiders” and legitimate freight businesses to bypass border controls and import illicit tobacco and vapes into Australia.

Raids across NSW, Queensland and Victoria seized drugs, firearms, cash, gold and luxury goods, while more than $25 million in assets including 14 properties has been frozen. Police also allege the operation was responsible for dozens of illicit tobacco shipments entering Australia by air cargo.

👀 THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS WALK OUT OF CLASS TO PROTEST PAULINE HANSON

Thousands of high school and university students walked out of class on Thursday for coordinated “Students Say No to Hanson” rallies across Australia.

The protests were organised by the National Union of Students, with crowds chanting against One Nation and the “far right”. Hanson responded that schools should teach young Australians “how to think, not what to think”, while One Nation released undercover footage from the Sydney rally and claimed socialist groups were behind the demonstrations.

🚨 SEVEN TEENS CHARGED WITH MURDER OVER BRISBANE CARJACKING

Seven teenagers aged 14 to 17 have been charged with murder after a 27-year-old man was allegedly bashed and carjacked in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane, before later dying from his injuries.

Police allege the group stole the victim’s BYD ute and fled before abandoning it the next morning. Among those charged is a 14-year-old girl, while all seven accused now face Queensland’s “adult crime, adult time” laws and could face life sentences if convicted.

👀 COALITION BACKS MAJOR MIGRATION CUTS

The Coalition says it would cut net overseas migration to below 180,000 a year, arguing immigration levels should be tied to how many new homes Australia can actually build.

Shadow Housing Minister Andrew Bragg says the cuts would come through fewer family and international student visas, while also proposing a major simplification of Australia’s construction rules to make homes cheaper to build.

One Nation is pushing even further, calling for a 130,000 visa cap and arguing Australians should not be forced to compete with continued high migration for already scarce housing.

🚨 COALITION CALLS IN AFP OVER ALBANESE “MELONS” LEAK

The Coalition has asked the AFP to investigate who leaked confidential correspondence from the Japanese government following Anthony Albanese’s controversial “melons” exchange about Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

The leaked correspondence reportedly said Tokyo believed Albanese had no ill intent and wanted the controversy to die down. Japanese officials were reportedly surprised the private communications became public.
