From the "Philosophical Parables" column:
Once upon a time, Koch and Chalmers had an argument, and Koch, as always, lost a bottle of wine, which they promptly bought at the "Krasnoe i Beloe" liquor store.
Since Koch considered himself a consciousness expert, he decided to sound smart:
— "Krasnoe i Beloe" is a network. I concede that it might possess consciousness by virtue of its organized structure.
— But a philosophical zombie can get drunk too, — Chalmers replied.
— Did I just lose another bottle of wine? — Koch reached for his wallet.
— Not yet. But if in five years "Krasnoe i Beloe" is no longer just a network, but a hypernetwork...
— All this is the result of bad theorizing! — they suddenly heard a familiar voice.
Turns out, Dennett had also dropped by the very same store, but solely to prove that neither red nor white actually exists.
