Nix Astreides I think there is no way besides protests. The problem of the current Russian system that already many parts of this system are rigged to favour government decisions, even if you clearly voted against them.
And you know - it was clearly predictable. When Russia is only started as an independent country, the first president of Russia clearly made constitution to favour their way, he made himself essentially a “super president”.
Afterwards not really many people opposed them and it was a clear way to make their dominance legal enough that even in today’s situation when they are minority, you can do nothing about it legally.

I advice you to participate in spontaneous protests if they appear to be.
I won’t tell you that you gonna be good, but it’s your personal decision for Russian future. I even myself it did several times when was living in Russia.
The thing is - protests work when there is enough people. Don’t show that you are in this protest until you are sure that there are enough people. This way you can avoid punishments.
