The struggle for traditional values is now taking on a completely different dimension. It is formally a struggle for the old, but since the main thing in post-capitalism is the alienation of the intellectual factors of production, the struggle for traditional values is a new form of class struggle in post-capitalist society.
Because values, education and information become the most important thing. It is no coincidence that in the last decades of the twentieth century the destruction of education is taking place in the West. My son studied in an American school, I taught in American universities, and not the worst - Yale, Columbia University, in England - Durham University. The level of destruction of education there - our school, even the current one, could not dream of the level of stupidity that exists in good public schools in the USA.
They need to destroy education, they need to create a generation of ticktockers - so that they are ready as objects of new exploitation. Part of this young ticktocker generation here can't read long texts. It's a problem with students now - many students, even in elite universities, can't read more than 5-6 pages.
The Chinese have a good saying: "If you can't read long texts, you work with your hands, not with your head". By the way, the same WEF recently published a little memorandum on what will be valuable in the future. The first is the ability to read long texts and the second is the ability to analyse them.
If they're dismantling the education system, they know what they're doing. What are Oxford, Cambridge and the Sorbonne today? For the middle class, it's a kind of postponed unemployment. We go back to the point that we have to break education in order to prepare people to be subjected to a new system, a post-capitalist system of exploitation.
