I've always loved this quote from the Bible. Jesus is described as the embodiment of total truth, and therefor he represents the pure, unadulterated truth. Truth is not easy to accept often..... if fully acknowledged, it can destroy our heroes, and reveal our trusted routines and systems to be evil... when on the surface they may seem innocuous. Smiling faces- they don't always tell the truth.... worse are faces who tell the truth, yet do the deeds of evil after gaining trust with the truth. They lure the desperate in with the truth, and then lead them into a pre-planned trap.

Jesus wanted people to be hot for the truth..... when confronted with the truth to embrace it with righteous fire. He rebuked those who claimed they were for unconventional truths, but when confronted, or presented uncomfortable truths- ones that upended their heroes, their comfort zones, their personal routines, their profession, their addictions/vices.... truths that demanded they admit to being fooled, misled and then to change course.... they refused to face it. Not violently rejecting the truth... quietly... lukewarm.

I see Trump, RFK, Elon Musk, Putin, Tulsi Gabbard, Javier Milei, Flynn, Modi, Vivek Ramaswamy, Joe Rogan, Tucker, etc., to be heroes for the lukewarm. They are people who fancy themselves righteous, but aren't hot enough to change anything about themselves, or truly risk anything personally.... they vote for others they think will fight the fight FOR them. Even if the public figure is funded by evil, and champions agendas of evil.

When shown the money trail behind their heroes leading straight to hell, they hide behind "lesser evil" or "nobodies perfect" rhetoric. They gather other lukewarm people around themselves, so they can convince themselves they have supporters in their lukewarmness.... they cannot sufficiently disprove the damning evidence, they cannot defend the evil affiliations..... yet continue to be lukewarm. They are people who are weak in the face of the truth.... too weak to change.... too weak to admit their ignorance, oversight, or willful blindness..... they prefer comfortable routine to risk.... they prefer following rules to taking responsibility for questioning the rules.... they are moved by those who fight for truth, but they themselves stay quiet. Lukewarm.

This is most people. They may avoid outright sin, but also never put themselves on the front lines for the highest truth..... they are better than nothing... champions of lesser evils. They quietly enable abusers, and wonder why the world slips into hell via the totalitarian tiptoe. -Airika
