Lifting super heavy can work against your hypertrophy gains.

Aiming to get the most out of the least amount of weight is the low stress alternative for the sophisticated lifter.

When I mention to others that I basically don’t bench above 100kg (except for fun to test strength) they are often surprised.

Going super heavy without proper form and activation of the muscles you’re aiming to target, can work against creating the shape you want. Or worse, lead to injuries over time.

For bodybuilding you want to feel the muscles you’re trying to develop. This doesn’t have to require a whole lot of weight.
In general I keep the sets between 8-15 rep range with enough weight to go to failure on the working sets.
