Arianism has been fought against and addressed many times, from the vicious, controversial times of Arius to Fulgentius, Victor Vitensis, Second Symbolium Of Antioch, and Codex Cavensis up to even Eramus' own notes in the 1500.

Part 1: On Erasmus
Eramsus was a very intelligent man. He traveled throughout England, France, Germany, Italy, Vienna, Austria, Begluim, etd.and met many kings, princes, and their courts. He even was offered a position for the Complutensian Polyglot collation. He studied numerous manuscripts in Greek & Latin for hours, days, weeks, months,& years. He made many marginal notes called "Annotationes" on various passages of Scripture in his Greek New Testament editions. Furthermore, he visited many libraries throughout Western Europe to the point that he would recieve manuscripts from his friends,+various people, from the Vatican Library's Vaticanus readings which Erasmus rejected, to Britain's "Codice Britannico" (which ha d1 Johh 5:7). In 1519, Erasmus even acknowledged +quoted 1 John 5:7 in Latin in his work, Ratio Sev Compendivm Verae Theologiae [Ratio Seu Compendium Verae Theologiae], calling the verse "legis", & defending the same exact verse of 1 John 5:7 in a full page of his 1535 Greek New Testament's Annotationes("Codice Britannico"/"Anglos Graecus codex" that had 1 John 5:7's Greek words in it +suspected[believed] Greek CodexBritannico was correct


Why is this significant?
Because the Arians' belief is that Jesus was a creates being, but if he was, why does 1 John 5:7 show that Jesus/God the Word/the Son himself made flesh, God the Father, and God the Holy Ghost are called as God and as Three that bear record in heaven? Because unlike Arianism heresy, Jesus is God the Son /the Word and is equal to God the Father in that both the Word, the Holy Ghost, and the Father, though three Persons, are also equally 1 God, each Person of the Biblical Trinity always being God & bearing record of each other/each Person of the Godhead/the Trinity in heaven. The Arians however denied that Jesus/the Word incarnate is equal in deity to the Father & to the Holy Ghost, meaning that the Arians dangerously denied that Jesus is God the Word but rather held Jesus at a lower rank in lowering & weakening deity/ than the Father, like a lower first "god" or "first" created being (similar to today's Muslims who wickedly lower Jesus into only being a man & only Just a Prophet only rather than that God was manifest in the flesh as 1 Timothy 3:16 says) & not as God the Word bearing record with the Father & the Holy Ghost of their three witnesses of each of them Persons being God.

Why did Erasmus call Arians "Stupidos"/stupid people?
Because he saw through their lies & was intelligent. Also, he accepted 1 John 5:7 as God's words by having it in his 1522, 1527, & 1535 Greek New Testament Editions
