Gemini crypto exchange has set a new Guinness World Record by using 1,000 drones to create a glowing bitcoin logo. The show was organized in honor of the launch of the strategic reserve of cryptocurrencies in the United States.
The exchange published a photo of the Guinness certificate, which states that the record was set for "the largest image of the currency symbol in the sky, formed from drones." The event took place on March 13 in Austin, Texas.
Gemini is an American crypto exchange founded in 2014 by brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. Until recently, the US SEC was investigating the platform, but after the change of administration in the White House, the regulator closed a number of cases, including the Gemini case.
In the summer of 2024, the Winklevosses announced that they had donated $2 million in bitcoins to Donald Trump's election campaign. According to the brothers, by voting for Trump, they intended to "end the war on cryptocurrency" by the Joe Biden administration.
