جلد ۳۲ (۲۰۲۴–۲۰۲۵) بولتن موسسۀ آسیایی Bulletin of the Asia Institute  منتشر شد. این جلد که از تابستان ۲۰۲۶ در دسترس قرار گرفته، نخستین جلد این نشریه است که انتشار آن توسط مرکز یارشاطر برای مطالعه سنت‌های ادبی ایرانی در دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، لس‌آنجلس (UCLA) ادامه می‌یابد.
بولتن موسسۀ آسیایی از دهه ۱۹۸۰ به سردبیری Carol Altman Bromberg منتشر شده است. اکنون انتشار این مجله به مرکز یارشاطر واگذار شده و رحیم شایگان، مدیر مرکز یارشاطر و استاد ایران‌شناسی در UCLA، به‌عنوان سردبیر جدید مجله فعالیت می‌کند.

Volume 32 (2024–2025) of the Bulletin of the Asia Institute has been published. Newly available since Summer 2026, this volume marks the beginning of a new phase in the history of the journal, with its publication continuing under the Yarshater Center for the Study of Iranian Literary Traditions at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Spearheaded by Carol Altman Bromberg since the 1980s, the Bulletin of the Asia Institute has served for almost a century as an important journal for Iranian, Near Eastern, and Central Asian studies. Publication of the journal has now been entrusted to the Yarshater Center, whose Director, M. Rahim Shayegan, Jahangir and Eleanor Amuzegar Professor of Iranian at UCLA, is serving as the Bulletin’s new editor.

این مقاله به بررسی ساختارهای حکومت محلی در بلخ بر پایه اسناد بلخ، از اوایل سده چهارم تا اواخر سده هشتم میلادی، می‌پردازد. سعیدرضا حسینی با تمرکز بر سه ناحیهٔ گوزگان، روب و کَدَگستان نشان می‌دهد که حکومت محلی یکی از ارکان اساسی ساختار سیاسی بلخ بوده است. این نواحی تحت فرمانروایی حاکمان محلی قرار داشتند که امور اجتماعی، اقتصادی، سیاسی و نظامی را با استفاده از تشکیلات اداری و نیروهای محلی اداره می‌کردند.

سومین کارگاه برکلی درباره‌ی اسناد و مهرهای فارسی میانه، ۱۳ و ۱۴ شهریور ۱۴۰۵

سومین کارگاه برکلی درباره‌ی اسناد و مهرهای فارسی میانه در روزهای13 و 14 شهریور 1405(۴ و ۵ سپتامبر ۲۰۲۶) به‌صورت برخط در بستر زوم برگزار می‌شود.
این کارگاه به همت آرشیو آزاد اسناد فارسی میانه (Open Archive of Middle Persian Documents) و با حمایت کرسی پژوهشی بیتا دریاباری در مطالعات ایران‌شناسی دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، برکلی برگزار می‌شود.
این کارگاه پژوهشگران را گرد هم می‌آورد تا درباره‌ی اسناد و مُهر‌های فارسی میانه‌‌ی روزگار ساسانی و اوایل دوران اسلامی که از مناطق مختلف، از جمله مصر، ایران مرکزی، طبرستان و دیگر نواحی پیدا شده‌اند، به بحث و بررسی بپردازند و مسیر پژوهش در این حوزه را پیش ببرند. نخستین کارگاه در مارس ۲۰۲۳ و دومین کارگاه در اکتبر ۲۰۲۴ برگزار شد.
در نخستین روز کارگاه،  پس از سخنرانی افتتاحیه توسط آدام بنکاتو و آرش زینی، تامی بنفی درباره‌ی کاربرد یک اصطلاح در اسناد فارسی میانه و نظام مالیاتی دوره‌ی اسلامی آغازین سخنرانی خواهد کرد. سپس اُلویا رمبل به بررسی نقش‌های اجتماعی و اقتصادی و جایگاه حقوقی زنان بر اساس اسناد طبرستان و هستیجان می‌پردازد.

The Third Berkeley Workshop on Middle Persian Documents & Sealings, September 4-5, 2026.


The Third Berkeley Workshop on Middle Persian Documents and Sealings will be held online via Zoom on September 4–5, 2026.

The workshop is organized by the Open Archive of Middle Persian Documents, with the support of the Bita Daryabari Presidential Chair in Iranian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

The workshop brings together scholars to discuss, analyze, and advance the study of collections of Middle Persian documents and sealings dating from the Sasanian period through the early Islamic era and originating from various regions, including Egypt, Central Iran, Tabarestan, and beyond. The first workshop was held in March 2023, followed by the second in October 2024.

On the first day of the workshop, following an opening presentation by Adam Benkato and Arash Zeini, Tommy Benfey will discuss the use of the term āmār in Middle Persian documents and the early Islamic fiscal system. Olivia Ramble will then examine the socio-economic roles and legal status of women based on the Tabarestān and Hastijān documents. Alice Ziegler will discuss camels in Sasanian glyptic art, with a particular focus on the problem of distinguishing between dromedaries and Bactrian camels.

کتاب پیشاعیلامی: نظام نوشتاری وجامعه در ایران باستان، نوشته‌ی کاترین کلی، پژوهشگر دانشگاه اوپسالا، در جولای ۲۰۲۶ توسط انتشارات دانشگاه کمبریج منتشر شد.
این اثر به بررسی یکی از کهن‌ترین نظام‌های نوشتاری جهان، یعنی خط پیشاعیلامی، می‌پردازد؛ خطی که با وجود گذشت بیش از یک قرن از کشف آن، همچنان تنها به‌صورت محدود رمزگشایی شده است. تاکنون حدود یک‌هزار وهفتصد لوح گلی از محوطه‌های باستانی ایران، متعلق به حدود ۳۳۰۰ تا ۲۹۰۰ پیش از میلاد، کشف شده که اطلاعات ارزشمندی درباره‌ی ساختارهای اداری، اقتصادی و اجتماعی جوامع آغازین ایران در خود جای داده‌اند.

Proto-Elamite: Writing and Society in Early Iran, written by Kathryn Kelley, a researcher at Uppsala University, was published by Cambridge University Press in July 2026.

This work examines one of the world’s oldest writing systems, namely the Proto-Elamite script. Despite over a century since its discovery, this script remains only partially deciphered. To date, approximately 1,700 clay tablets dating from around 3300 to 2900 BCE have been discovered at archaeological sites across Iran, offering valuable insight into the administrative, economic, and social structures of early Iranian societies.

مدرسه تابستانۀ زبان‌ها و زبان‌شناسی دانشگاه لیدن ۲۰۲۶


دانشگاه لیدن به روال سال‌های پیشین در تابستان ۲۰۲۶ نیز میزبان مدرسه تابستانی «زبان‌ها و زبان‌شناسی» خواهد بود. این برنامه از ۶ تا ۱۷ ژوئیه ۲۰۲۶ در شهر لیدن برگزار می‌شود و ثبت‌نام آن تا ۱۱ مه ۲۰۲۶ ادامه دارد. این مدرسه مجموعه‌ای گسترده از دوره‌های مقدماتی و پیشرفته در حوزه زبان‌ها، زبان‌شناسی تاریخی و مطالعات متون باستانی ارائه می‌دهد.

کتاب جهانِ زردشتی یکی از بهترین نمونه‌ها برای مشاهدۀ چرخشِ پارادایمی در مطالعاتِ ایرانی است. این کتاب تلاش می‌کند شکافِ سنتی میان رویکردهای بیرونی و تجربه‌های زیستۀ اهالی را ترمیم کند. حدود نیمی از نویسندگان این مجموعه از زردشتیان هندی (پارسیان) و زردشتیان یا غیرزردشتیانِ ایرانی و نیمی دیگر از نویسندگان غربی تشکیل شده است. البته آنچه کوشندگانِ این اثر هدف اصلی دانسته‌اند، یعنی فراتر رفتن از بازنمایی‌های «تقلیل‌گرایانه»
