Italian fascist magazine "La difeza della razza" (defense of the race) published from 1938 to 1943,who's purpose was to show anthropology studies and prove difference between races.
Here it mentions Albanians as descendants of Paleo Balkanic people (illyrians,thracians,hellenes etc) and mentions similarity between Italian and Albanian folk. One of the pages says:
(Page 19) - The racial problem, so deeply felt by the Duce since the last war, has currently found its solution and protection in Fascism. Awareness, pride, and racial defense are today the elements that inspire Fascist racial policy. Albanians, like Italians, proud of their origins and their racial integrity, must also take these three words as their motto and continue with firmness and determination on the path they have undertaken alongside Italy in the defense of the race.
