Few details have been released, but apparently the suspect is a mentally retarded ("learning difficulties") recluse from Rotherham (located 270 miles from her home in Devon).

He somehow found her address, knew when she would be at home, broke into her house, murdered her, stole nothing, and then returned to Rotherham.

British cops concluded that there is "nothing to suggest it was politically motivated."
