America.gov is starting to look like an Apple launch event for government 🇺🇸

The idea is bigger than a new website: the US government is trying to turn bureaucracy into a software product.

An AI interface could make government services easier to use, while new digital tools for things like passports and name changes give citizens something governments rarely deliver: actual product updates.

The software is visible. People can test it, find bugs and see whether fixes actually work. That could make these launches more consequential than traditional political speeches.

It also shows where tech and government can overlap: automate paperwork, remove friction and replace 20th-century forms with code.
