Aiôn Runes & Tarot pinned «The next questioning to a god which I've been instructed to share here is one to Óðinn, which I'll preface by resharing the leads from these earlier (very) brief notes for those who've not had their own (knowing) encounter with the Lord of Mysteries. It's…»

From kings to farmers our people have always sought divine guidance from certain men and women within and sometimes on the edges of society. We would seek this guidance, which could be gained through the casting of runes, watching the flight of birds, or studying the entrails of slaughtered animals. The methods were endless.

I received a rune casting, and it was an impressive reading. Both the runes cast and the interpretation of how they work together and apply specifically to me were quite profound. This man is a true diviner who can see across space and time and pierce the core of a man he's never met and doesn't even know the name or face of.

This wasn't just some basic psychic reading that happened to be true in some vague or general sense. The very specifics of how I present my self to the public, the key issues I struggle with behind the scenes and the conflicts between my primary goals and what I desire as well as the solution to my personal struggles were all laid bare.

The only way he could have provided any more of a specifically accurate understanding of what the runes meant in the casting as they relate to me would be to fill him in on every detail of my life and outline my exact mission and the objectives being completed to see a fulfillment of said mission.

In a world where magic feels as if it has largely faded away, it's important to find those who have refused to let go of it. If you are looking for some solid divination, he's your guy.

A very gracious review of the Wyrdcasting - thank you so much for the generous praise, and it was both interesting and important getting to divine on your nature and future!

My impression on this reading was that it was very and I mean very uncomfortable, not in a bad sense but more so it caught me unawares of how accurate it’d be. I’m not often read easily and I don’t often expect much to my readings as they are strongly conflicting often times. It is why in my readings I need to spend more time introspecting to truly understand the cards. It actually opened me up after the reading in mind and in some ways attuned to what currently is.

Maybe it is because my subconscious has been asleep for a bit due to external issues causing me to not have time to meditate or the energy to even push for it. Nevertheless, this reading was necessary and I think I can better ascertain what needs to be done to find my fate line.

I sought out the Wyrdcasting and Celtic Cross in order to answer some questions and gain some insight before making one of the most significant decisions of my life.  The information was spot on in many ways, and provided a sense of clarity in areas that were previously murky.  My biggest takeaway is the additional insight that has been gained and the confidence I now feel when preparing to take a rather large leap into the future.  I highly recommend this service to anyone who may be approaching a particularly significant crossroads in life.

"I never found a generous man, nor one so unstingy with food,
That he wouldn't accept what was given;
Or one so open-handed with possessions-
That he disliked a gift when offered."

It is indeed a great high time for gifts - including the gift of insight! Through the whole of the Yuletide, any client who commissions a Wyrdcasting will also receive another free divination of their choice: anything from my catalogue, either immediately or at a later time, or even as a gift for someone else!

(A couple of new offerings will be making their way into that catalogue soon, as well - in the meantime, have a wonderfully happy and fortunate Yule!)

"Arês surpassing in might, who weigh the chariot down,
Who wear a helmet of gold and possess a spirit of strength,
Shield-bearing saviour of cities, clothed in armour of bronze,
Whose mighty hand unwearied wields a spear that is strong,
Olympos' bulwark, father of Victory skilful in war,
You who bring help to Themis, you who are tyrant to foes,
You who are leader of humans who cherish justice most,
Sceptred king of valour who whirl a fire-bright orb-
Amongst the portents of heaven that wander along seven paths,
Where blazing colts keep you for ever beyond the third rim of the sky!"

"This contact between the two aspects of existence could be achieved from the opposite direction, too: that is, humans could travel there and participate in what was going on there. Some of the means of accessing the otherworld mentioned in Old Norse literature include travelling over a rainbow, over the ocean, into darkness, into caves, into bodies of water, over mountains, into grave mounds, through waterfalls, and into deep forests and bogs. These should surely be interpreted as journeys into extreme places and situations in order to continue the journey in a vision, or possibly as journeys undertaken while already in a heightened visionary state such as those that seers, sorcerers, and shamans trained themselves to reach. In any case, these methods for reaching the otherworld show that it wasn't thought of as being located in any particular physical direction relative to the world of everyday existence: up, down, north, south. The direction was simply 'away'. The distance was great, but not unbridgeable."

Feeling quite grateful presently for this particular 'PGM' tarot deck: a treasure on aesthetic grounds alone, as well as possessing that awesome knack for divine precision in communicating much like the gods themselves can tend to do.

For the rest of the month, if you would like your tarot divination to use this PGM deck, please enjoy a 50% discount by messaging @Hexensonderkommando the auspicious name: 'AGATHODAIMON'.

Any and all images of the tarot can speak of changes and transformations as varied and specific as the individual cards themselves. Yet this one, this deck's version of The Messenger or The Judgment, is the one foremost in my mind at this time of year. Do you find yourself passing through some dreary vale, separated by shadows and silence from helpful words or deeds of others? Do you go about the business of gods, actively seeking high and low for that which seems lost to our world? Do you grow more strangely certain that even from the very underworld there is the potential of return, just as surely as the sun at dawn or the flowers at springtime?

All of these threads unwind before us in the tale of Haidês' prize and Dêmêtêr's searching, of Hekatê's secrets and Zeus' judgment, of Hermês' mission - and of Persephonê's RETURN!

"Within him is fire, within him is drink, within him both Earth and Heaven. He is the sun which views the whole world, he is indeed light itself - the long-haired ascetic. Girded by the wind, they have donned ocher mud for a garment. So soon as the Gods have entered within them, they follow the wings of the wind, these silent ascetics. 'Intoxicated,' they say, 'by our austerities, we have taken the winds for our steeds. You ordinary mortals here below see nothing except our bodies.' He flies through midair, the silent ascetic, beholding the forms of all things. To every God he has made himself a friend and collaborator. Ridden by the wind, companion of its blowing, pushed along by the Gods, he is at home in both seas, the East and the West - this silent ascetic."

The spark of life, sleeping within the still and silent shell of the seed. The heart of love, bounded as bonded in the walls of affection's fastness. The waiting god hidden within some men, requiring for its full awakening only that life, love, destiny, desire, intention, and perfection that comes from complementarity with the waiting goddess hidden within some women.

All of these reach back through time to the Mystery of the once-mortal Yngʀ upon his glad high throne, and can speak to those apt for listening: of long labour, of passionate devotion, of steady discipline, and of continuity through seasons.

Now another season wakes upon the Earth who turns under our very feet - and the most amazing things do still happen! For those able to see through the course of the seasons, and to see them through.

'Temperó' (from 'tempvs': time/period/age), in Latin, conveys the act of duly dividing, qualifying, tempering, moderating; properly blending, combining, compounding; ruling, regulating, governing, managing, arranging, ordering, controlling; forebearing, refraining/abstaining from - showing moderate and temperate restraint.

In the journey of initiation portrayed by the order of the trump cards, Temperance follows Death and precedes what more christ-stained 'tempi' would fearfully call "the Devil". In order to move beyond Death on the further journey that our Life can be, the divine responsibility and highest affirmation of personal identity is exemplified in acknowledging, sorting through, and gracefully harmonizing all the elements of that Life (our embodied Highest Potential's 'origin story'). To understand from a different perspective: in the Thoth deck, this concept is elegantly named not the usual Temperance - but Art.

Lǫgʀ, the Sea-Rune, descends in circling cycle as an echo of returning from Njǫrð's (or even from Ægir's) realm. As all waters find their way to the sea, so they are returned to the world of men in proper time - both the current of Life and the flow of its Laws.

Let this eternally echoing rhythm of life and motion - move you, as well, to hear and to feel and to know yourself in the sure and certain heartbeat of the world.

All ice melts and then returns, all tears dry and then return, and you yourself with them, again and again - will you, then, rise to return stronger?
