🇱🇾 Libya's military seizes narcotics after firefight with smugglers

Libya's military said on Friday that one of its brigades seized more than 1.3 million narcotic pills after a firefight with smugglers in a town in the country's southeast. The military said three soldiers were injured in the clash.

The incident points to ongoing smuggling activity in southern and southeastern Libya, where state forces have repeatedly faced challenges in securing remote transit areas.
