WaPo reports Israeli settlers savagely beat an American journalist.

Heidi Levine is a Washington Post photographer who was reporting on the ground in the West Bank.

She was knocked to the ground and assaulted before live fire surrounded the other journalists.

Witnesses say the IDF did nothing to stop the assault.

Heidi is in stable condition in hospital.
