It sounds like the ATF is soon going to be rolling back decades worth of import restrictions having to do with the Eastern Bloc countries, and it's possible we may soon see a flood of SVDs as well as a bunch of Eastern Bloc AKs, some of which were Russian-built though it sounds like Russia and Belarus themselves are still restricted. If not full guns we could probably at least see a flood of parts kits.

I wonder if a lot of this Trump admin backing off with the gun restrictions stuff is a desperate plea to try to recover some numbers for the midterms with gun owners after being an abject dumpster fire on all of the campaign promises. Either way I'll take the wins when they come.

The way I see it, you probably have two years to stock up on everything you can, the moment another democrat takes office many of these rule change W's are going to get rolled back with the stroke of a pen, they might even try to retroactively go after things that were bought during this window of relative freedom too maybe but I think that would be hard to pull off.
