Planning can help a person organize their time more efficiently and focus better on work. But why is that? ⬇️

💔 Every day a person has to make many decisions. More precisely, how to start things, where to start and how much time to spend on it. Planning helps to cope with this problem and radically save time. Research on time managment has shown that time management is closely related to work productivity and academic well-being.

💔 Reduces cognitive load. When a person thinks "I still need to do a project, not to forget about homework, respond to a message and prepare for tomorrow's lesson," these tasks can occupy a significant part of his attention. When these tasks are recorded in the list, a person does not have to constantly keep them in memory.

Coursera is an aggregator platform, not the author of the courses: the courses themselves are made by different universities and companies (Pearson, UC Irvine, University of London, etc.), but they're hosted specifically on Coursera because it's one of the largest MOOC platforms with free access to audit lectures (no certificate). That's why they overlap — it's just convenient to put together a list from one platform where everything is free and easy to find.

🌱 Does ChatGPT Make Us Think Less?

Nowadays, the number of similar works created using ChatGPT is increasing and it has become a daily tool for most students and workers. But does it affect a person's ability to think for himself?

According to researchers, AI can lead to cognitive offloading. For example, instead of searching out and analyzing arguments, they immediately asks AI to do so. Ultimately, a person shifts some part of the work to artificial intelligence. Interesting fact: in a randomized study of 120 students, the group that used ChatGPT in training showed 57.5% after 45 days, while the group without AI showed 68.5%. This shows that a large transfer of AI education can negatively affect long-term information learning.

However, ChatGPT can be used in more than just a human job. We can use AI as a conversational manager that analyzes our ideas and thoughts, offers better other ways, and helps to find weak points in the your argument. It can also save us significant time when searching for information and sources, but the resulting links need to be checked by ourselves.

To sum up,the main question is not whether we use ChatGPT, but how we use it.
Tip: firstly, write your ideas and thoughts, then ask ChatGPT to find connections between them, ask questions or suggest new directions. So AI becomes a tool for developing your thinking, not a substitute.

😵‍💫 Short videos have become a daily part of our daily lives. We just go to see 5 minutes on social networks like Tik-tok, Instagram, but after a while we notice that a whole hour has already passed.

But why can't we stop after one or two videos?

Most videos on the Internet have a quick and interesting start. The creators try to keep the viewer from the first seconds and intrigue him, which improves the wallet of video creators.

2. surprise and interest of the viewer shows a desire to find out what is in the next video.

For example, a video can immediately show an unusual result of the experiment, but not explain how it happened. The viewer becomes interested in finding out the reason, so he continues to watch.

Existed all over the world, the most fruitful way to present your ideas and mix them with exploratory work is by applying them to International Research Olympiads which are organized annualy at the same time. They consist of both the olympiads for identifying the most significant researches and determining research skills. Therefore, be careful with what you are searching for. Here are the entire list:

🟢 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). It is the world's "Junior Nobel Prize" analogy. The crucial reminder is that you cannot apply to the event straightforward because there are the participants who were selected from their countries with special ISEF rules or on the base of National ISEF. Your government and educational department will probably have the option to attend on the National Tour;

🟢 Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS). The oldest and most prestigious US science competition where the prize pool is equal to financial investment of $250,000. ⁉️ Does multitasking really make us more productive? #additional

Most people are used to doing multiple tasks at once. For example, while studying, we can listen to music, talking with friends, or watch social media. Many people think it’s convenient and really saves time. But does multitasking make us more productive or do we just feel like it?

Actually, we don’t do several jobs at the same time, we just shift our attention from one to another. This can lead to the loss of time and concentration at work, which reduces the quality of that. The constant switch, which researchers call "task switching", increases the amount of errors and decreases efficiency.

If we give an example from daily life,imagine, the student is solving tass of mathematics and he take a message from friend. When you return from funny dialogue, you will have to remember which task was stopped or even forget about that task.

🌟However, we cannot say with confidence that every multitasking makes us less productive. It’s all demand on the complexity of the job. For example, you can listen to a podcast by washing dishes, but you cannot solve two math problems,which require attention at the same time.

In the end, multitasking is not always equal to productivity. Sometimes it’s just an illusion that we all succeed. The advice for beneficial work: don’t try to get all together at the same time, focus on one goal.💔
