Dear community! We’ve seen many questions from holders of the first-generation $XDAO token. To avoid confusion with the new token, we’ll refer to it as the Legacy token going forward.
📅 On September 25 at 14:00 UTC, we will take a snapshot across the four networks where the Legacy token existed and was traded: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Polygon.
How it works
The snapshot records the wallets holding Legacy tokens and the amount held in each. The distribution of the new $XDAO, launching on Arbitrum, will be calculated based on this data.
All addresses included in the snapshot are
0x... addresses and can be used on Arbitrum without any changes. Therefore, you do not need to link your wallet separately.🔒 If your Legacy tokens are held in your wallet or in a vesting vault, you do not need to do anything. They will be counted automatically.
📈 If your Legacy tokens are still held on a centralized exchange, you need to withdraw them to your own wallet before 14:00 UTC on September 25. Any of the four networks can be used for the withdrawal.
Legacy $XDAO tokens held by a DAO or in other smart contracts are recommended to be withdrawn to personal wallets, as DAO and smart contract addresses may differ across networks.
❌ Transfers made after 14:00 UTC on September 25 will no longer affect the final distribution.
