My book on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, published in 2022, ended with the point that intelligence assets engaged in blackmail, like Epstein, are no longer needed (and thus became expendable) because the surveillance state can retrieve blackmail directly from your devices or plant incriminating material on them. Four years later, they are just saying it out in the open.

RT @loffredojeremy: Netanyahu is openly bragging that the Mossad can access anyone’s cellphone, plant evidence, and then portray that person as a monster. Worth keeping in mind when the Israeli military’s X account posts images of rocket launchers and copies of Mein Kampf in baby cradles and hospitals. https://t.co/W7sXqs3UD7

this makes sense when you consider, for example, that israel is one of the rare countries where the same person moves straight from leading its department of education to leading its military (naftali bennett). such a transition would be unheard of in most other countries. imbuing israeli youth with this ideology is a long-term likud play that has been extremely successful.

the amount of propaganda and culture war psyops where one side is overtly justifying child murder is insane to me. from zionists justifying the murder of palestinian babies to the clancy trial.even more insane is how it is clearly showing how certain demographics are willing to support child murder for certain ethnic groups or under certain conditions. child murder is always wrong and unjustifiable. amazing that saying as much is now considered a controversial take among some circles in both the left and right at present.

anthropic worker: anthropic's AI could kill us all because it's being developed too fast and irresponsibly!!!!at the same time, anthropic: let's build a pre-crime system to preemptively target people who think we are building AI too rapidly without proper safeguardsmmmm... https://t.co/bp3JbfN9KZ

@reallygraceful maybe they are trying to ramp up the fear so that anthropic can use their new predictive policing program with US police that is meant to preemptively target activists worried about the "rapid development of AI".

Sorry, but it's not just Anthropic. Palantir has been working on predictive policing and surveillance of dissidents for the US government for well over a decade. The goal of the Bush admin immediately after 9/11 was pre-crime via "Total Information Awareness" and they have been building it ever since, through the privatization of that program as Palantir. And there are other companies working toward this end to, all with ties to US intelligence or top US officials (Satellogic, SpaceX, Axon/Carbyne, etc.)Anthropic may be "building" their own private equivalent, but this is something the government and its other private contractors have already built. Under the first Trump admin, Bill Barr as AG created the legal framework for pre-crime. They are just waiting on the right excuse or justification to scale it. We have to realize how far along this is if we really want to stop it. It is now many companies ushering in a pre-crime paradigm, all with State backing.

I normally don't do opinion pieces, but I just wrote one about AI-powered “detectors” of AI-authored content and important issues with them that I think need to be urgently discussed, especially within independent media. While these "detectors" have recently been promoted as a way to protect human writing online, that’s not what’s really happening.https://t.co/sPAqbTS3em

NEW by @_InThisTogether - In the concluding segment of his series on the Praxians, Iain Davis details how the Praxian “Network Empire” agenda is coalescing in events playing out in the Middle East, how it is shaping global governance, and how, in microcosm, it is being applied to New Gaza.https://t.co/RambARBYdX

RT @Holden_Culotta: Whitney Webb just said the quiet part out loud.Flock cameras are only one part of a “constellation” of surveillance tech.“They can really spy on you … now from space.”“You can’t cut those down.”“This is getting extremely dire.”“The surveillance state has expanded so much.”“Flock cameras are bad.”“But they are one of a constellation … of companies.”“They are private companies.”“But they are totally in bed with the national security apparatus.”And that national security apparatus is quickly moving into something worse than just surveillance. They’re using surveillance tech to build an AI-powered “predictive” crime apparatus.“That type of power is weaponized to curb and target dissent.”“If you’re moving to a paradigm where you can target dissent before it happens, that’s terrible.”“What we’re talking about here with the Merlin constellation and Satellogic and Palantir is literally what you’re worried about with Flock in space.”Mark Goodwin: “In April 2022, the first Edge AI-enabled satellite in space was launched by Satellogic and Palantir with assistance from SpaceX.”Webb: “This is about predictive stuff.”“It’s about what an algorithm thinks you may do in the future.”“Or, like, you were at this place where a crime happened … so the algorithm is like, people associated with this hotspot could also be criminals.”“It’s totally insane.”@_whitneywebb @markgoodw_in

Please stop acting like a political hack kind of saying what you want to hear is some political victory. Especially someone who poses for photos with genocidal war criminals who run one of the government's tied to Epstein. Why are people celebrating shitty bread crumbs from compromised politicians? It's not going to move anything forward. What does move things forward are economic boycotts, civil disobedience and disabusing yourself of the belief that the US' two-party farce offers any meaningful avenue for change. Neither party, which both work for oligarchs, is interested in dismantling the oligarch network Epstein worked for nor in sending any of those oligarchs to prison. Those same criminal oligarchs largely finance their campaigns and their lifestyle.
