Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has emerged as a valuable adjunct in wound management, supporting tissue repair through growth factor–driven modulation of the wound environment. PRP promotes granulation tissue formation, reduces wound chronicity, and facilitates healing in complex wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, burns, and traumatic wounds. Current evidence supports the safety of PRP, with minimal reported adverse effects, including in paediatric .
