A gunman opened fire around 4 p.m. Monday near 726 Courtlandt Ave. in Melrose, Bronx.
A 32-year-old man was shot in the ankle; a bullet fragment shattered a car window, lightly injuring a 1-year-old girl inside with glass. Both are stable at Lincoln Hospital. No arrests.
