❌DON’T do this unless you want to find a Web3 job ❗️
Our Talent Acquisition Specialist Veronika Meshchanskaia, has seen it all — from brilliant CVs to ones that scream "please fix me." Here are her top tips on what to avoid if you’re serious about landing a Web3 role:
❌ Overly complex and flashy templates – Avoid CVs with excessive graphics, fancy fonts, or WordArt-style designs. They can be difficult to read and may come across as unprofessional.
➡️ Bad example: A CV with bright (red/orange/yellow) backgrounds, multiple fonts, or a large photo taking up half the page.
❌ Listing irrelevant experience – Web3 hiring managers focus on crypto-related experience, so keep your CV relevant. Unrelated jobs won’t add value unless they demonstrate transferable skills.
➡️ Bad example: "Worked as a barista for 3 years." (I once spoke to a writer whose LinkedIn profile included "barista" – and for Web3 roles, that’s a definite NO unless linked to relevant skills.)
❌ Too many separate freelance sections – While Web3 companies are open to freelance experience, too many short-term projects with overlapping timelines can make you look unreliable.
➡️ Bad example: Listing 3–5 different freelance projects with overlapping dates.
