โก๐ต๐ฐOperation Rah-e-Rast (Righteous Path), conducted in the Swat Valley from May to July 2009, stands as one of Pakistanโs most decisive counterterrorism campaigns.
Through coordinated airborne assaults, ground offensives, and sustained air support, the operation dismantled entrenched militant strongholds, eliminating over 2,000 terrorists while 168 soldiers laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Pakistan must be prepared to launch more firm and resolute operations of this nature when faced with threats to national security โ so that our people no longer have to bleed at the hands of terrorism, and peace is secured through strength, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve.
