⚡🇵🇰 Baktar Shikan — 5th Generation

Pakistan’s Baktar Shikan anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system has entered its 5th generation, bringing a major upgrade: Fire-and-Forget (FF) capability.

Unlike earlier versions requiring continuous manual guidance, the new system reportedly allows the operator to lock onto the target before launch, enabling the missile to guide itself after firing.

The upgraded system also features a top-attack profile, making it broadly comparable in concept to the FGM-148 Javelin, while offering a claimed 5 km range—significantly greater than the commonly cited ~4 km range of Javelin family variants.

A significant evolution for Pakistan’s indigenous anti-armor capability.
