⚡🇵🇰 — Pakistan Navy has officially launched Phase II of its Coastal Defence Batteries (CDB) program, upgrading from 300 km-class subsonic missiles to indigenously developed supersonic systems exceeding 500 km in range, developed by MTC Karachi.
The new phase also includes deployment of land-based variants of the P-282 “SMASH” Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile (ASBM), designed to target hostile warships with high-speed precision strike capability and terminal maneuverability.
Integrated with coastal surveillance, mobile launchers, and naval reconnaissance assets, these systems strengthen Pakistan’s Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) posture across the Arabian Sea, protecting key maritime routes, ports, and Pakistan’s EEZ.
The development highlights Pakistan’s growing focus on indigenous naval warfare technology and layered maritime deterrence capabilities.
