π΅π° β Yesterday marked the anniversary of Gayari Sector tragedy. On April 7, 2012, the silence of the Karakoram was shattered by a massive avalanche of ice and rock that buried the 6th NLI battalion headquarters. In that devastating moment, 129 soldiers and 11 civilians were lost to the mountains, leaving a void in the hearts of a nation.
Looking back on that day, we honor the resilience of those who labored for over a year and a half to bring our Shuhada home. Their refusal to abandon the site remains one of the most challenging recovery missions in military history.
Though another year has passed since that fateful April 7th, the legacy of the brave souls of Gayari remains frozen in time, forever remembered, forever honored.
