🔷What Link-16 / MIDS does:

• TDMA & frequency-hopping waveform (harder to jam).

• Exchanges standard J-series messages: radar tracks, IFF, target assignments, missile-data, GEO cues.

• MIDS/JTIDS terminals provide low latency, encrypted tactical data-links and built in time synchronization.

• Gateways/AEW&C act as fusion hubs, relaying sensor tracks and extending range beyond LOS.


🔷Other comms in the mix:

• upgraded HAVE-QUICK/SATCOM radios for voice/data, LOS datalinks for UAVs, and encrypted ground-air links — all fused into a common C2 picture.
