⚡🇵🇰🤝🇨🇳 — Pakistani soldiers are seen testing the Chinese QJZ-171 (Type-171) heavy machine gun during the Warrior-IX joint exercise. The QJZ-171 is currently the People’s Liberation Army’s standard HMG for MG squads.

The QJZ-171 is a lightweight heavy machine gun, weighing only 11.9 kg and chambered for the 12.7×128 mm cartridge. Designed for mountainous and high-altitude warfare, its reduced weight provides a major advantage for mobile infantry units.

It operates using a hybrid short-recoil + advanced primer-ignition blowback system, offering an effective range of up to 1,500 m.

The platform supports several sighting systems, including the QMK-171 5× daylight smart optic and a passive thermal imaging sight, enhancing target acquisition in diverse combat environments.
