A propaganda video has surfaced showing an individual, suspected to be affiliated with TTP' Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, recording himself in front of French naval assets. Militant groups aligned with the Taliban have previously produced similar videos in Pakistan, typically to project an exaggerated footprint or presence in various regions. However, this is the first instance of such material emerging from within France.

Earlier, last month, a condolence gathering was also organized in the city of Rennes for an Afghan national identified as Sadam alias Huzaifa, son of Abdul Baqi from Kunduz province. He was linked to the TTP and was killed during a security forces’ operation in Bajaur, Pakistan. The ceremony in Rennes drew a significant number of Afghan community members.
