HGB-affiliated media outlets are circulating a statement attributed to the spokesperson Abu Hassam Wazir of Sheikh Saadi Karwan, a former group once active under the HGB network. The statement claims responsibility for an IED attack on security forces in the Shawal Valley, North Waziristan.However, local media outlets have not reported any such incident, and the visuals attached to the statement are actually from a Baloch separatist attack in 2018.
