December 24, 1979 — at Bagram airfield, 50 km north of Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, units of the 105th Guards Airborne Division were landed.

The war in Afghanistan began.
Simultaneously with the introduction of troops, Soviet special services carried out an operation codenamed “Storm-333”, the objective of which was the physical elimination of Afghanistan’s leader, Hafizullah Amin.

Military equipment of the Thai army on Cambodian territory a BTR-3E1 armored personnel carrier, an AAVP-7A1 with camouflage made of logs and a canopy, and a VT-4 with M113A2 also camouflaged with logs, with the canopy stretched over supports made of logs as well.

It is obvious that Cambodia did not actively prepare to employ drones, so the protective measures are quite primitive.

The first appearance of Australian-supplied M1A1 AIM “Abrams” (with the distinctive Australian camouflage and wedge-shaped placement of explosive reactive armor on the turret) in Ukraine — captured by Russian FPV drones.
